The Kinetic Gauntlet is a custom tech item worn by Merrill. It creates a field around the user, absorbing kinetic energy from impacts, which can then be redirected through the Gauntlet. For reasons unknown, it is fuelled by Merrill's blood alcohol content, and therefore functions only while she is inebriated.
