Timak is a Toa of Sonics who became a Toa inside a canister en-route to Mata Nui.

Biography

Before Mata Nui

Timak started life as a lonely De-Matoran dark grey and black, wearing a Noble Mahiki. One day, they were exploring a beach and found an empty canister. They felt strongly compelled to enter the canister, assumedly by Mata Nui, and did so. The canister shut and began floating towards Mata Nui. At some point en-route, the canister became damaged. Timak also underwent transformation into a Toa whilst inside the canister.

Arrival on Mata Nui

Timak arrived on Mata Nui by washing up on the shores of Naho Bay, and after fighting their way out of the broken canister, they were guided to Ga-Koro by a strange Skakdi, who introduced them to Talli, Toa Leah Maru and Toa Kimala. After this point, Timak explored Ga-Koro with Talli for a while before ending up at Akiri Hahli's hut just as the dragon Aclaraung arrived at the port.

Timeline

Timak enters a canister as a Matoran on the shores of their home island.
Timak arrives at Ga-Koro^[1] and meets Talli, Kimala and Leah.^[2]
Timak attempts to introduce themselves to Akiri Hahli, and is instead taken by Leah to investigate the dragon Aclaraung.^[3]

Abilities and Traits

Abilities

Sonics abilities: Timak can use any sonics abilities known to most Toa of Sonics, but specifically has affinity for the following specialised powers:
- Acoustic Levitation - can hover up to 3 bio above a solid surface using concentrated sound waves, requires concentration
- Shattering - Intuitively knows the right frequency to shatter most common materials. New materials require some investigation time first.
- Dampening - With a low level of concentration (think maintaining good posture), Timak can passively filter out painful noises that would otherwise cause stress.
Kanohi Mahiki: Only loosely attuned to their mask power so far. Knows how to create minor illusions (to use the DnD term). Major illusions require significant concentration. Can change their own visual appearance to look more intimidating, or for stealth purposes. Adopting a completely different visual form (e.g. Matau -> Nidhiki (but only in a visual sense as the rules state)) is incredibly difficult for them so far.
Tuning Sword: They carry a sword which doubles as a tuning fork, amplifying their sonic powers greatly. Hitting this against an enemy immediately gives Timak knowledge of the most effective frequencies to use.

Personality

Generally kind and well-intentioned. Quiet unless spoken to, but when they do talk, they usually have something important to say and get frustrated if ignored. When comfortable with present company, Timak is more relaxed and easy-going, often quipping and passing humorous remarks to lighten the mood. On the other hand, they can be known to complain when situations get tough.
