The Toa Astha are a team that was founded by a group of Toa, most of whom had fought together in the past. Their purpose is to inspire hope.

History

The Toa Astha were formed shortly after Joske's transformation, following Merror's attempt to help the confused new Toa.  Leaving Joske in Cael's hut, he serendipitously met three friends he'd made while trying to thwart the assassination of the Chronicler's Company: Pirok, Skyra and Weta.  Along with Skeldan, a newcomer Toa of Ice, they managed to convince Merror to stop travelling alone and reclaim the mantle of leadership.  Travelling to Le-Koro to find a sixth member (Elianne, an old acquaintance of Merror's), Merror founded the team: Toa Astha, after the Matoran word for 'hope.'
