Takua, also known as the Chronicler, was a Ta-Matoran who was instrumental in Mata Nui's second attempt to free the island from Makuta's rule.

Timeline

Takua awakes on the Ta-Wahi beach with amnesia.
He begins helping the villages of Mata Nui.
Assembling the Chronicler's Company, Takua leads the first defense of Kini-Nui while the Toa Mata enter Mangaia.

As the Toa Mata fail, Takua receives a vision of the Second Prophecy.
Takua is allowed entry in the Keeping Place.
Takua gives out clues to keep for the members of the Chronicler's Company and disappears, also forgetting the clues himself.
Takua steals the Essence Stones from The Vault and hides them.
Takua helps the Wanderer's Company get the stones.
Takua leads off a Rahkshi threatening the Company and disappears, presumed dead.
