The Lavapool Bombing was an act of terrorism by the Piraka during the 2013 Arc of the BZPRPG.
Background
Vezok had been taken captive and imprisoned in the Ta-Koro Guard Jail. The piraka's leader Zaktan led the rest of his crew on a course to free their psychopathic compatriot. Thok created a distraction by juggling in the main square and Avak destroyed the Lavapool Inn with a detonating nektann. After the inn exploded into fire and shrapnel the public scattered and the larger part of the bombing came into play: the fight for supremecy.
Events
Avak and Thok both hid themselves in the smoldering ruins of the inn, using a jerry-rigged fan system to fill the main courtyard outside with the gas from Jitter Spheres. Meanwhile the Ta-Koro guard jumped to response, working to contain the terrorists without truly knowing the numbers they faced. Likewise a groud of vigilantes gathered in a nearby alley and began to plan how to lay seige to the ruins of the inn. The Toa Maru arrived from Ko-Koro and engaged the piraka on the streets and rooftops after the vigilantes had succesfully driven Avak and Thok from their improvised fortress.
During the battle Hakann slipped away and paid a grisly visit to Ta-Kini, leaving a tortured corpse in his wake to baffle the authorities.
Legacy
The Lavapool Bombing led to the destruction of one of the most well-known and beloved player locations in the BZPRPG, and its loss is still felt.
